Mag-Net is able to assist our clients via remote desktop support. This method of support allows us to interact with our client on their computer desktop. Users are able to show the technician the problems being experienced in minutes without the need for a technician to come on site. This is cost effective and very efficient.
We utilize the TeamViewer application to accomplish this. We have two TeamViewer programs for different requirements. The first is the Teamviewer Host installation. This is the Teamviewer application installed locally on your computer. The application runs as a service in the background and allows us to connect to the remote computer 24/7 without user intervention. This is ideal for remote servers, office workstations etc, any situation where after hours support is needed.
The second is the TeamViewer quick support program. This program installs nothing on the local computer. The program is downloaded to the local computer, is stored on the hard disk or desktop. When the user requires assistance simply run the program to allow the technician remote access. When the work is complete just close the application. The user has control over when remote access by the technician is allowed.
