Note: You must be logged in to webmail for the following instructions.
< Previous Screen Return to Main Screen >
The lower part of the SpamFilter Configuration page contains general settings (see image below).
Spam Score – All incoming email is tested with SpamFilter tests. Scoring is based on a variety of tests that look at the email’s subject line, header, and message body. Examples of items that will register a certain score include a large amount of UPPERCASE in the text or the email has been tagged by a bulk emailing system. Once the email has been scanned, the final score is matched against the Spam Score that you define. If the email message score exceeds the Spam Score number, the email is marked as spam and is placed into the Spam folder.
The default value for the Spam Score is 3, which is fairly aggressive and will block the majority of spam. A value of 10 is very lenient and will produce less false positives.

Short Report - The SpamFilter will create a report as part of the e-mail header when it detects an email message to be spam. Check this box to have SpamFilter use a shorter report.
Remember that SpamFilter will only work on new email coming in after it has been activated and not on emails that have been sitting in your Inbox from before the feature was added to your account.
We at Mag-Net hope our SpamFilter aids in the process of eliminating junk mail from your inbox and demonstrates our commitment to a higher level of service to our customers.
